Tuscan Pear

These pitchers are an extraordinary example of how truly pretty recycled glass can be. The pitcher and glasses are heavy, and durable. They are blown clear, then baked with paint, and the paint is then sandblasted into the glass, creating a soft frosted look. The paint is fused into the glass so does not peel. The lip of the glass is smooth. The pitcher is roughly 10” square, including the handle, making it an elegant presentation. The glasses are about 6” tall, and over 3” in diameter. As each one is done by hand (including the pitcher) there are fractional differences. The pitcher weighs in the neighborhood of 4 lbs. The overall shipping weight is about 14 lbs.

Each pitcher holds approximately 1 gallon of liquid, not counting the neck, so a pitcher can be carried safely without spilling.  The exception is the clear breezy pitcher, which is a bit smaller.  It would be perfect for a 1/2 gallon container of orange juice at breakfast (maybe a bit more).

Remember that these pieces are folk art, are made by hand, and are NOT perfectly regular or flawless. They have character, but may not be “perfect enough” for every taste. The items photographed are accurate, not chosen to be “the best” to photograph. This is called "bubble glass" for a reason.
