These wonderful floats are mouth-blown recycled bubble glass. The glass is heavy and tends to be sturdy when used with common-sense. With normal wind and weather they are safe in your pond. However, they were not designed for swimming pools or other places where bare feet pad about. If you live in an area where hard freezes or snowfall occur, you will bring these in for winter as you do with all temperature-sensitive garden items. All floats are 4" in diameter.

Our pond floats have a ring on the bottom, to allow you to weight the float with 20 lb. fishing line and a lead weight, to keep the floats in the middle of your pond or fountain rather than making them subject to the will of the wind. However, if you like them pushed by the wind, the ring floats downward and you do not have to weight them.
