Clive does the best he can to keep Sassy out of trouble.  Much calmer by nature, he will pick a vantage point and watch things go on without committing too much energy to a project unless attacked by Sassy for a wicked romp through the grass.  Erma even tolerates a rub and nose-hello from him.  He wants to be a marine biologist when he grows up, and studies the pond with great concentration for long periods of time (although we suspect that he may simply be learning to sleep with his eyes open).
